Policies & procedures

ALL GUESTS MUST MAINTAIN SOCIAL DISTANCING OF 2 METERS AT ALL TIMES AND FOLLOW ALL PUBLIC HEALTH AND SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS AS SET OUT BY THE PROVINCIAL HEALTH OFFICER.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

NOTICE

At Wasa Lake Guest House, we are committed to providing a safe environment for both our guests and team members. We have redefined our cleaning and safety standards as well as our team member education and training to align with the recommendations and guidelines provided by the Government of BC, BC Ministry of Health, Interior Health, and BC Center for Disease Control.

By booking and visiting Wasa Lake Guest House, you agree that you have read, understand, and will adhere to the policies & procedures outlined below. Any guest that is found to be in contravention of these policies & procedures will be asked to leave the property and may be treated with disciplinary action. No refunds will be provided.

We thank you in advance for doing your part to help stop the spread of COVID-19.  Please stay safe and enjoy the fresh mountain air.

FOR THE SAFETY OF OUR GUESTS AND OUR STAFF PLEASE DO NOT VISIT IF ANY OF THE FOLLOWING APPLY:

  • If you are sick or experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 (fever, sore throat, cough, difficulty breathing).

  • Live in a household with someone with COVID-19, symptoms of COVID-19 or who is self-isolating due to possible exposure to COVID-19.

  • If you have travelled outside of Canada in the past 2 weeks or been in contact with anyone who has travelled outside of Canada in the past 2 weeks.

GUEST & HEALTH SAFETY

  • Enhanced cleaning measures and increased frequency of cleaning.

  • Reduced guest contact with team members.

  • Hand sanitizer in shared spaces.

  • Signage in shared spaces, guest rooms, and bathrooms to maintain social distancing and practice proper hand hygiene.

CLEANING & DISINFECTING

We are continually monitoring industry best cleaning practices; ensuring we are providing the highest level of cleaning and disinfecting.

  • We have developed a comprehensive cleaning plan and checklists to ensure our cleaning procedures and frequencies are being achieved.

 

STAFF HEALTH & SAFETY

We are committed to providing a safe work environment for our team members.

  • We have implemented COVID-19 specific training to ensure our team members fully understand COVID 19.

  • All team members are screened upon arrival to work each day.

  • Team members follow strict guidelines, implementing frequent and stringent hand-washing protocols, and proper glove use and disposal.

  • Team Members are empowered to stay home if unwell, communicate their potential exposure to COVID-19 with management, and will be fully educated on how to maintain a safe and clean home. 

GUEST SERVICES & AMENITIES

Outdoor Beach Kitchen

  • The outdoor beach kitchen is a shared facility with other guests staying onsite. Social distancing must be practiced as this is a shared amenity amongst other guests. Unless you have booked all rooms onsite, times will be allocated for use of this amenity.

Hot Tub

  • Unfortunately, during COVID-19 we are no longer offering the use of this amenity.

Games Room

  • Unfortunately, during COVID-19 we are no longer offering the use of this amenity.

Kayaks/Pedal Boat/Lifejackets

  • This amenity 'may' be available but will be at the discretion of the hosts.

Trampoline

  • The trampoline is available for guest use. Social distancing must be practiced as this is a shared amenity between hosts and guests.

Dock

  • The dock is available for guest use. Social distancing must be practiced as this is a shared amenity between hosts and guests.

CHECK-IN/OUT

Check-in:
Check-in times remain at 4-6 PM.

One of our team members will greet you and show you around.

You will be required to complete a liability waiver upon arrival and produce a government-issued ID. The ID can be sent via email or text.

Check-Out:
Checkout time is before 10:00 AM.

When checking out we ask that you please call or text to let us know you are departing. 

Sorry, we can’t accommodate late checkout requests at this time.

GUEST ROOMS

Room Inventory

  • We have removed many non-essential items such as decorative pillows, and additional bedding from our rooms in an effort to help provide better cleaning.

  • Beach Kitchen inventory has also been reduced to essential items only.

Housekeeping

  • We no longer offer daily housekeeping services. If you require any additional items or disposable amenities during your stay, please let us know and we will deliver it to your door. 

  • We kindly ask that all guests remove the garbage from their room and dispose of it in the designated garbage bins upon departure. 

Maintenance

  • Any emergency maintenance issues that may arise during your stay that require immediate attention will be looked after by one of our experienced team members once you have vacated your room for the day. Any non-emergency maintenance items will be attended to upon your departure.

CANCELLATION POLICY DURING CURRENT PANDEMIC

  • Full Refund if provincial or federal COVID-19 restrictions prohibit operation of the Guest House.

  • Otherwise, current cancellation policies remain in effect. We recommend guests purchase Travel Insurance with Covid-19 coverage.
