To ensure that everyone's experience is equally enjoyable we ask that all guests be respectful of these policies as well as one another while staying with us.
Welcome to our home! Yes, we live here and we are sharing our beautiful property and lifestyle with you!! Please be respectful of this. And, yes, we maintain the property every day! This means grass to mow and water, gardens to attend to, dock maintenance, etc., etc., etc. If this causes concerns for your vacation experience, then, unfortunately, this place is not for you.
Check-in Time: 4-6 pm.
Check-out Time: 10 am.
Guests: All guests must sign in upon arrival and each guest must complete a liability waiver form.
*Registered Guests must provide government-issued photo identification upon arrival (driver's license, passport, etc.).
Visitors: All visitors must be approved, in advance, by the Innkeeper and will be charged a day-use fee. $10/adult; $5/child. A liability waiver must be signed by all visiting Guests.
Children: It is imperative that children are supervised while participating in any on-site activities.
Guest and Visitor Behaviour: Guests and Visitors are expected to have appropriate behavior while staying at the Guest House. No foul language, no yelling, no disrespect to owners or to other guests.
Damage Deposit: A minimum security deposit of $500 CAD will be pre-authorized on a credit card prior to arrival. The pre-authorization hold will be released 7-14 days after check-out. In the unlikely event that the room or common areas are willfully or negligently damaged, the deposit will be withheld in full and applied to all repair and replacements costs. Should the costs exceed the deposit, the full cost will be applied to the pre-authorized credit card.
Room Capacity and Amenities:
*Management has the option of re-allocating rooms in the event of unforeseen circumstances. We apologize in advance and will compensate guests with a one-time complimentary breakfast.
Cabin Rental - one cabin with two separate suites. These suites can be booked together or separately. The Cabin sleeps a maximum of 8 guests in two suites.*see room rates and capacities below.
The Pine Room has one queen bed, a bunk bed, and sleeps a maximum of 4 guests (2 adults and 1-2 children). The Pine Cone room has two single beds, bunk-bed style, and sleeps a maximum of 2 guests (2 children/2 adults). $200/night based on double occupancy. $30/night for each additional guest (all ages).
Note: You will be charged an additional fee of $30 per bed if using 'all' beds and you are less than 6 people!
The Tamarack Room has a queen bed and sleeps a maximum of 2 guests. $200/night based on double occupancy.
Each room has its own private entrance, deck, and air-conditioner. There is also a private, detached bathhouse, with two full bathrooms.
Main House: The main house has one suite, in the walk-out basement.
Spruce Room has three queen beds in three separate bedrooms and sleeps a maximum of 6 guests. $200/night based on double occupancy for the first bedroom. $60/night for each additional bedroom.
NOTE: We do not allow overcrowding which means no extra guests sleeping on floors or furniture (exception for babies and toddlers sleeping in portable beds). Also, no tents or RVs.
Extra Guests: All extra guests, any age, will pay the extra guest fee of $30 per guest per night.
Taxes: Added to all rates and fees.
Amenities: All rooms are provided with bed linens and bathrooms with towels and basic toiletries. We ask that you supply your own beach towels “or” beach towels can be provided for an additional fee.
Payment: Full payment is due at the time of booking.
Acceptable forms of payment are Direct Deposit, Email Money Transfer, or Credit Card. For those wishing to use a credit card, a processing fee is applicable (3%).

Cancellation: During our summer season (June 21 - September 21, 2021), there are no cancellations unless we can re-book your time block less a 1-day cancellation fee. During our shoulder seasons, Spring and Fall, a 7-day cancellation policy will be in place. We are closed in the Winter. Guests are encouraged to purchase Trip Cancellation Insurance (some credit cards offer this).
Breakfast: A light, simple, keto breakfast is offered to our guests. This is optional and offered at the owner's discretion. Extra charges apply. $15/person/day or $175/week (based on 2 guests)
Pets: Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate guest pets on-site.
Smoking: Wasa Lake Guest House is a 100% smoke-free environment. For the enjoyment of all guests, there will be no smoking or vaping on-site.
Alcohol and Drugs: There will be no excessive drinking and no recreational drugs. Guests will forfeit their damage deposit for excessive use of alcohol or recreational drugs.
Maid Services: We respect your privacy and will not enter your room or bathroom during your stay unless specifically requested. If you would like maid services, please speak with the Innkeeper at check-in.
Eco-Friendly Laundry Services: We are conscious of our planet's resources and make efforts to conserve energy. Unless requested, towels and sheets will be changed when you leave or for longer stays, as agreed upon.
Quiet Times: Out of respect for other guests please maintain a quiet time between 10 pm and 8 am.
Beach Kitchen: The outdoor, covered, beach kitchen is a shared facility. It is fully equipped with 3 fridges- 1 large, 1 medium, 1 small; stove, BBQ, microwave, toaster oven, coffee pot, tea kettle, dishes, and cutlery. Guests must keep their ‘dry goods’ in a sealed container such as a tote (one tote per room provided by Innkeeper). A $50/suite Resort Fee is applicable.
NOTE: The beach kitchen is a shared facility so it is the responsibility of each guest to clean up after themselves. This means doing your own dishes after every meal, keeping food safely stored, sweeping, etc. Prior to check-out, guests are asked to make certain the kitchen is clean. A cleaning fee of $30/hour will be deducted from the damage deposit if the Innkeeper has to clean the kitchen on your behalf.
Firepit: Provincial Campfire Ban - no campfires summer 2021.
Fishing: For the enjoyment of all guests, ABSOLUTELY NO FISHING off the dock or beach.
Parking: We have free, uncovered parking available for one vehicle per room. If you have more vehicles, boats, trailers, etc. you must inform the Innkeeper in advance.
Cleaning Fees: There is a one-time cleaning fee for all room rentals.
Cabin Rental - $50 per suite rental
Main House Rental - $50 for suite rental ($75 for all 3 bedrooms).
Beach Kitchen (Resort Fee) - $50 per suite rental
*Failure to comply with these policies may be grounds for immediate removal from the property with no refunds.
