GUEST POLICIES

"I follow three rules: Do the right thing, do the best you can, and always show people you care."

To ensure that everyone's experience is equally enjoyable, we ask that all guests adhere to the following policies and show respect to one another while staying with us.

Check-in and Check-out Time:

  • Check-in Time: 4-6 pm.

  • Check-out Time: 10 am.

Guest Requirements:

  • Guests must present a valid credit card and government-issued photo ID upon check-in and be of legal age.

 

Liability Waiver:

  • All guests are required to complete a liability waiver at check-in. For guests under 21 years of age, a parent or guardian must sign on their behalf.

 

Unavailable Amenities:

Due to increased liability, we no longer offer:

  1. Use of boats.

  2. Use of bicycles.

  3. Fishing off of the dock or the beach (including the swim area).

Guests are encouraged to bring their own adventure toys! Additionally, guests are welcome to explore off-site activities such as hiking, cycling, golfing, fishing, and more.

 

Visitors:

  • All visitors must be approved in advance by the Innkeeper and will be charged a day-use fee if using the amenities. A liability waiver must be signed by all visiting guests, including the use of the dock.

 

Children:

  • Families with children are welcome to book the beach cabin. However, children must be under direct and active supervision by their parents or guardians while on-site.

 

Guest and Visitor Behavior:

  • Guests and visitors are expected to exhibit appropriate behavior while staying at the Guest House. This includes refraining from foul language, yelling, and showing disrespect to owners or other guests.

 

Damage Deposit:

  • A minimum security deposit of $500 CAD per room is due prior to your stay and will be released 7 days after checkout if there is no damage. In case of accidental damage or staining, please inform us, and we will adjust your bill accordingly for cleaning or replacement.

 

Room Capacity and Amenities:

  • Management reserves the right to reallocate rooms in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

  • Please note the maximum occupancy and amenities of each room.

 

Minimum Night Stay:

  • Summer Season: 3-night minimum stay.

  • Spring/Fall Season: 2-night minimum stay.

 

Rates and Fees:

  • Room rates range from $225-$235 per room per night based on double occupancy.

  • An extra guest fee of $35 per night applies for guests sharing the same room.

  • A 13% tax will be added to the invoice.

 

Room Amenities and Accessibility:

  • Our rooms and bathrooms are small and unique and may not provide adequate setup for guests with mobility challenges.

  • Room amenities include an indoor sitting area, desk, bed linens, towels, and basic toiletries.

 

Payment:

  • 100% of the reservation is due at the time of booking. Payment plans are available, with all monies due prior to your stay.

  • Acceptable forms of payment are Direct Deposit, Email Money Transfer, or Credit Card (3% convenience fee applied).

 

Cancellation Policy:

  • Summer Season (June 28 - September 1, 2024): 60-day cancellation policy.

  • Spring and Fall Season: 30-day cancellation policy.

  • A 25% administrative fee applies to all cancellations. Trip Cancellation Insurance is encouraged.

 

Additional Policies:

  • The use of boats and bicycles is no longer offered due to increased liability insurance.

  • Trampoline use is restricted to children (0-12 years) supervised by an adult, with a signed liability waiver.

  • A simple continental breakfast option is available for an extra charge.

  • Pets are not allowed on-site.

  • Smoking is prohibited.

  • Excessive drinking and recreational drugs are not permitted.

  • Grounds maintenance activities may occur during your stay.

  • Eco-friendly policies prohibit the use of bug sprays and scented products.

  • A check-out cleaning fee per room applies.

  • Maid services are provided as agreed upon.

  • Quiet times are observed between 10 pm and 7 am.

  • The beach kitchen is a shared facility and must be cleaned by guests daily and before checkout.

  • Fire pit availability is subject to provincial fire bans.

  • Parking is available for one vehicle per room, with limited space for additional vehicles, boats, or trailers.

 

Note: Failure to comply with these policies may result in immediate removal from the property without refunds.
