To ensure that everyone's experience is equally enjoyable we ask that all guests be respectful of these policies as well as one another while staying with us.
Check-in Time: 4-6 pm.
Check-out Time: 10 am.
Guests: The Guest must present a valid credit card and government-issued photo ID upon check-in and be of legal age.
Waiver: All guests will be required to complete a liability waiver (click here to review). For guests under 21 years of age, a parent or guardian will sign on their behalf.
Activities On-site: Due to increased liability, we no longer offer:
1. Use of the trampoline ________ (please initial that you acknowledge this)
2. Use of the boats & beach toys ________ (please initial that you acknowledge this)
3. Use of the bicycles ________ (please initial that you acknowledge this)
4. Fishing off of the dock/beach ________ (please initial that you acknowledge this)
Visitors: All visitors must be approved, in advance, by the Innkeeper, and will be charged a day-use fee if using the amenities. A liability waiver must be signed by all visiting Guests (this includes the dock).
Children: We do accept families with children if booking the beach cabin. It is imperative that children are under direct and active supervision by their parents or guardians while on-site.
Guest and Visitor Behaviour: Guests and Visitors are expected to have appropriate behaviour while staying at the Guest House. No foul language, no yelling, no disrespect to owners or to other guests.
Damage Deposit: A minimum security deposit of $500 CAD per room is due prior to your stay. It will be released 7 days after checkout if no damage.
If you accidentally damage something (i.e, break a chair) or stain something (this includes beds, furniture, linens, towels, and outside cushions) please bring it to our attention and we will adjust your bill accordingly for cleaning or replacement.
Room Capacity and Amenities:
*Management has the option of re-allocating rooms in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
Cabin Rental - one cabin with two separate suites. These suites can be booked together or separately. The Cabin sleeps a maximum of 8 guests in three rooms.*see room rates and capacities below.
The Pine-Pine Cone rooms have one queen bed, 2 bunk beds, and sleeps a maximum of 6 guests (max 4 adults)
The Tamarack room has a queen bed and sleeps a maximum of 2 guests.
Each room has its own private entrance, deck, and air-conditioner. There is also a private, detached bathhouse, with two full bathrooms.
Main House: One private suite.
The Larch room has a queen bed and sleeps a maximum of 2 guests.
This room has its own private entrance, deck, air-conditioner and ensuite bath.
Note: All rooms have an indoor sitting area and desk.
Minimum Night Stay:
Summer Season: 3-night minimum stay.
Spring/Fall Season: 2-night minimum stay.
NOTE: 1 or 2 night stays may be accommodated, availability permitting. Please inquire.
Rates: $225 per room per night based on double occupancy.
Extra Guest Fee: $35 per person per night sharing same room.
Taxes: 13% tax will be added to invoice.
Convenience Fee: A 3% fee will be added to invoice for credit card fees.
Amenities: All rooms are provided with bed linens and bathrooms with towels and basic toiletries. We ask that you supply your own beach towels “or” beach towels can be provided for an additional fee.
Payment: 100% of reservation is due at the time of booking (Payment plan available. All monies due prior to your stay).
Acceptable forms of payment are Direct Deposit, Email Money Transfer, or Credit Card.
Cancellation: Summer Season (June 30 - September 3, 2022), there is a 60-day cancellation policy. Spring and Fall Season, there is a 30-day cancellation policy. A 25% administrative fee is applicable for all cancellations. We are closed in the Winter. Guests are encouraged to purchase Trip Cancellation Insurance.
Rooms: Small and unique, our rooms and bathrooms DO NOT provide adequate setup for guests with mobility challenges.
Boats, Beach Toys, Bicycles & Trampoline: Due to the increase in liability insurance, we no longer offer the use of any boats, beach toys, bicycles, or the trampoline. Guests are encouraged to bring their own toys!!
Breakfast: A simple, continental breakfast option available. Please inquire. Extra charges apply.
Pets: Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate guest pets on-site.
Smoking: Wasa Lake Guest House is a 100% smoke-free environment. For the enjoyment of all guests, there will be no smoking on-site.
Alcohol and Drugs: There will be no excessive drinking and no recreational drugs.
Fishing: For the enjoyment of all guests, there will be no fishing off of the dock or in the swim area.
Bug Sprays and Perfumes: We are an eco-friendly environment, therefore no bug sprays and no scented products.
Cleaning Fees: A check-out cleaning fee of $50-$100 per room is applicable.
Maid Services: Room cleaning, including changing of towels and sheets will be done after you check-out or for longer stays, as agreed upon.
Quiet Times: Out of respect for other guests please maintain a quiet time between 10pm and 7am.
Beach Kitchen: The outdoor, covered, beach kitchen is a shared facility. ______ (please initial that you acknowledge this)
It is fully equipped with 3 small fridges; stove, BBQ, toaster oven, toaster, coffee pot, tea kettle, dishes, and cutlery. Guests must keep their ‘dry goods’ in a sealed container such as a tote.
NOTE: It is the responsibility of each guest to clean up after themselves. This means doing your own dishes after every meal, keeping food safely stored, keeping countertops clutter free, sweeping, etc. Prior to check-out, guests are asked to make certain the kitchen is clean. A cleaning fee of $50/hour will be deducted from the damage deposit if the Innkeeper has to clean the kitchen on your behalf.
Fire pit: Available if no provincial fire-ban. Guests can purchase firewood from the local retailers.
Parking: We have free, uncovered parking available for one vehicle per room. If you have more vehicles, boats, trailers, etc. you must inform the Innkeeper in advance as we have limited parking available onsite.
Camping: There is no camping onsite. Wasa Lake Provincial Campground is well set-up to accommodate tents and rv's.
Gratuities: Our staff work extremely hard to maintain our grounds, rooms, beach kitchen, dock and beach. Please ensure you ‘tip’ them for a job well done!!
*Failure to comply with these policies may be grounds for immediate removal from the property with no refunds (unfortunately a few spoil it for many guests).
