To ensure that everyone's experience is equally enjoyable we ask that all guests be respectful of these policies as well as one another while staying with us.
Check-in Time: 4-6 pm.
Check-out Time: 10 am.
Guests: All guests must sign in upon arrival and each guest must complete a liability waiver form.
*Registered Guests must provide government-issued photo identification upon arrival (driver's license, passport, etc.).
Visitors: All visitors must be approved, in advance, by the Innkeeper, and will be charged a day-use fee - $10/adult; $5/child. A liability waiver must be signed by all visiting Guests.
Children: It is imperative that children are supervised while participating in any on-site activities.
Guest and Visitor Behaviour: Guests and Visitors are expected to have appropriate behaviour while staying at the Guest House. No foul language, no yelling, no disrespect to owners or to other guests.
Damage Deposit: A minimum security deposit of $500 CAD is due prior to arrival. It will be released 7-14 days after check-out. In the unlikely event that the room or common areas are willfully or negligently damaged (including stained towels and linens), the deposit will be withheld in full and applied to all repair and replacements costs. Should the costs exceed the deposit, the full cost will be applied to a pre-authorized credit card.
Room Capacity and Amenities:
*Management has the option of re-allocating rooms in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
Cabin Rental - one cabin with two separate suites. These suites can be booked together or separately. The Cabin sleeps a maximum of 8 guests in three rooms.*see room rates and capacities below.
The Pine-Pine Cone rooms have one queen bed, 2 bunk beds, and sleeps a maximum of 6 guests.
The Tamarack room has a queen bed and sleeps a maximum of 2 guests.
Each room has its own private entrance, deck, and air-conditioner. There is also a private, detached bathhouse, with two full bathrooms.
Main House: The main house has one room.
The Larch room has a queen bed and sleeps a maximum of 2 guests.
This room has its own private entrance, outdoor sitting area, and ensuite bath.
Tamarack and Larch Rooms: Able to accommodate 1 small child in playpen. Please inquire.
Block Bookings and Rates:
Summer Season: Block Bookings of 3, 4, 7 or more days. Check-in and Check-out days are Monday and/or Friday.
3 day weekend block is $750 - Friday, Saturday, Sunday
4 day week block is $1000 - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
7 day block is $1750 - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Spring/Fall Season: $225 per room per night based on double occupancy (2 night minimum stay).
Extra Guest Fee Per Night: $35
Taxes: 13% tax will be added to invoice.
Amenities: All rooms are provided with bed linens and bathrooms with towels and basic toiletries. We ask that you supply your own beach towels “or” beach towels can be provided for an additional fee.
Payment: 50% of reservation is due at the time of booking. Balance is due 60 days prior to arrival.
Acceptable forms of payment are Direct Deposit, Email Money Transfer, or Credit Card. For those wishing to use a credit card, a processing fee is applicable (3.5%).

Cancellation: During our summer season (June 9 - September 4, 2022), there are no cancellations unless we can re-book your time block less a one day cancellation fee. During our shoulder seasons, Spring and Fall, a 14-day cancellation policy will be in place (unless there is a special event such as; the Wasa Triathlon, then, a 60 day cancellation policy less a one day booking fee will be in place). We are closed in the Winter. Guests are encouraged to purchase Trip Cancellation Insurance (some credit cards offer this).
Breakfast: A simple, continental breakfast option available. Additional charges apply.
Pets: Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate guest pets on-site.
Smoking: Wasa Lake Guest House is a 100% smoke-free environment. For the enjoyment of all guests, there will be no smoking or vaping on-site.
Alcohol and Drugs: There will be no excessive drinking and no recreational drugs.
Bug Sprays and Perfumes: We are an eco-friendly environment, therefore no bug sprays and no scented products.
Maid Services: We respect your privacy and will not enter your room or bathroom during your stay unless specifically requested. If you would like maid services, please speak with the Innkeeper at check-in.
Eco-Friendly Laundry Services: We are conscious of our planet's resources and make efforts to conserve energy. We also only use eco-friendly cleaning products. Unless requested, towels and sheets will be changed when you leave or for longer stays, as agreed upon.
Quiet Times: Out of respect for other guests please maintain a quiet time between 10 pm and 7 am.
Beach Kitchen: The outdoor, covered, beach kitchen is a shared facility. It is fully equipped with 3 small fridges; stove, BBQ, microwave, toaster oven, coffee pot, tea kettle, dishes, and cutlery. Guests must keep their ‘dry goods’ in a sealed container such as a tote (one tote per room provided by Innkeeper). Innkeeper will supply dish soup.
NOTE: It is the responsibility of each guest to clean up after themselves. This means doing your own dishes after every meal, keeping food safely stored, keeping countertops clutter free, sweeping, etc. Prior to check-out, guests are asked to make certain the kitchen is clean. A cleaning fee of $50/hour will be deducted from the damage deposit if the Innkeeper has to clean the kitchen on your behalf.
Fire pit: Available if no provincial fire-ban. Guests can purchase firewood from the local retailers.
Fishing: For the enjoyment of all guests, ABSOLUTELY NO FISHING off the dock or beach.
Parking: We have free, uncovered parking available for one vehicle per room. If you have more vehicles, boats, trailers, etc. you must inform the Innkeeper in advance as we have limited parking available onsite.
*Failure to comply with these policies may be grounds for immediate removal from the property with no refunds.
