We are offering a seasonal employment opportunity for a post-secondary or high school student who will reside in the Columbia Basin to work as an Assistant Innkeeper/Groundskeeper for the 2023 Spring/Summer season.

The right candidate will be involved in many aspects of running the Guest House including but not limited to:

 

• Assist in managing reservations.

• Greet and welcome all guests with professionalism and warmth, making suggestions for dining and activities in the area.

• Maintain a positive relationship with all guests before/during/after their stay.

• Listen and act on guest concerns, needs, and issues to ensure all needs are met promptly and to their complete satisfaction.

• Manage routine maintenance and operational procedures of the buildings.

• Assist with marketing including; social media posts, maintenance of the various marketing platforms, website.

• Assist and oversee all housekeeping routines to the highest standards.

• Help prepare and serve breakfast when it's requested (an additional service clients may request).

• Maintain landscaping and gardens.
   

Job Requirements:

• Must be a full-time student, residing in a community within the Columbia Basin during this employment opportunity, who is returning to full time studies in the fall.

• Must be able to demonstrate proficiency with computers; familiarity with Google Workspace and social media platforms.

• Excellent customer relations.

• Must have time-management skills.

• Adaptable to change and able to handle multiple priorities under pressure.

• Eager and focused to exceed guest expectations.

• Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism.

• Basic cooking, baking, horticulture skills are a plus.

Salary: TBD ($16.75 per hour with work incentives).

Start Date: ASAP!

Term of Contract: From start date to end of August 2023 (30 hours per week).
